Dr. Gregory C. Unruh is a globally recognized scholar, author, and speaker specializing in sustainable business strategy and energy transition. He currently serves as the Arison Professor of Values Leadership at George Mason University and is the Guest Editor on Sustainability for MIT Sloan Management Review.

As the originator of the widely cited Carbon Lock-in theory, Dr. Unruh has helped shape global policy frameworks and corporate decarbonization strategies. His insights are featured in leading publications like Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and Energy Policy. He has served as a technical reviewer for the IPCC and advisor to the United Nations Global Compact.

With a teaching portfolio spanning Columbia, Thunderbird, and executive programs across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, Dr. Unruh brings a unique global perspective to the challenges of the green transition. He is the author of Earth, Inc., Being Global, and other influential books on sustainability leadership.
